How Luxafor Launched a New WooCommerce Store and Moved Into Continuous Optimization

Luxafor needed to modernize its eCommerce presence to better represent an established international technology brand serving both individual professionals and business customers worldwide. The project objective was to build a modern international eCommerce platform and then continuously improve its ability to convert existing traffic, increase AOV and support both direct customers and Luxafor's broader international B2B business.

The Challenge

The Starting Point

Luxafor needed to modernize its eCommerce presence to better represent an established international technology brand serving both individual professionals and business customers worldwide. WD Market partnered with Luxafor through a LIAA-funded project to develop a new WooCommerce website.

What the Client Believed Was Wrong

The initial need was a stronger and more modern eCommerce platform. After launch, the challenge shifted: instead of another rebuild, Luxafor needed to improve the performance, stability and commercial effectiveness of the new platform.

What Had Already Been Tried

Luxafor already had an established international business and eCommerce presence before the WD Market project.

Why It Needed Attention

The LIAA European funding project created an opportunity to make a substantial investment in modernizing Luxafor’s eCommerce presence. After launch, continued optimization became important because the website operates as both a direct sales channel and part of a broader international B2B and distribution strategy.

Risk of Doing Nothing

Technical performance and stability issues would continue affecting the customer experience, while opportunities to generate more value from existing traffic through CRO, bundles, upsells and cross-sells would remain underdeveloped.

Constraints That Shaped the Solution

Luxafor serves a global B2C and B2B audience, with the ideal customer often being a business purchasing multiple devices for teams or offices. The website must therefore work for individual purchases while also communicating value to higher-volume corporate customers and supporting Luxafor’s international positioning.

What Success Needed to Mean

A technically stable and fast international eCommerce platform that continuously improves commercial performance — particularly conversion rate and Average Order Value — without requiring repeated rebuilds.

Our Approach

  • What the Evidence Showed

Launching the new website solved the initial modernization requirement, but it did not eliminate the need for continuous improvement. Technical performance remained important, while Luxafor’s product model created a clear commercial opportunity to increase order value through better bundling, quantity offers, cross-selling and upselling — particularly for business customers purchasing for teams.

  • What We Prioritized First

Initially, building the new eCommerce foundation. After launch, the priorities became technical stability and performance, followed by continuous CRO and AOV improvements. A stable, fast platform is necessary before traffic can be monetized efficiently through more advanced conversion initiatives.

  • How We Delivered It

WD Market designed and developed the new WooCommerce eCommerce website, launched in 2024. Following launch, the relationship evolved into continuous optimization through a monthly maintenance partnership covering bug fixing, monitoring, security, platform updates, urgent support and performance improvements, alongside additional WooCommerce development, CRO, UX and eCommerce strategy.

  • How the Engagement Evolved

The relationship evolved from a defined LIAA website-development project into an ongoing eCommerce optimization partnership. After launch, technical performance and stability became recurring priorities, while the commercial focus increasingly shifted toward conversion rate, AOV and extracting more revenue from existing traffic.

Strategy

Strategic Decisions

  • WD Market developers reviewing code

    Recommendation

Developing a new WooCommerce platform was appropriate for the original modernization project. After launch, however, the focus shifted away from rebuilding and toward improving the commercial and technical performance of the platform already created.

What We Deliberately Did Not Recommend

We did not treat another redesign or platform migration as the solution to post-launch growth. Once the new WooCommerce foundation was established, the priority became improving speed, stability, conversion and AOV within the existing environment.

Rebuild / Redesign / Spend Decision

The current opportunity is not another new website but extracting more commercial value from the existing WooCommerce platform through targeted technical and CRO improvements.

Results We Delivered

  • Measured Results

New WooCommerce website successfully launched and transitioned into an ongoing optimization programme covering technical stability, performance, CRO, UX and AOV improvements.

  • Evidence and Metrics

After the new WooCommerce website launched, ongoing work identified performance, loading speed and stability as important technical priorities. Commercial optimization has increasingly focused on conversion rate, AOV, checkout experience, bundles, cross-sells and upsells.

  • What the Client Gained Beyond the Metric

Luxafor gained both a modern international eCommerce platform and an ongoing technical/CRO partner. Instead of treating the website as a completed one-time project, the business now has a framework for continuously improving performance, customer experience, conversion and order value.
