How AM Ozoli Built a Four-Language Baltic B2B + B2C WooCommerce Platform
AM Ozoli already had an existing WordPress website. The project objective was to build a scalable eCommerce environment supporting B2C + B2B customers, Baltic markets, four languages, complex catalogue management, product imports, plant delivery weeks, Baltic delivery, supplier workflows and internal ordering processes while making the platform more reliable and manageable for the client's team.

The Challenge
The Starting Point
AM Ozoli already had an existing WordPress website. WD Market initially took over maintenance, technical support, updates and smaller improvements rather than immediately recommending a rebuild. Over time, website performance, technical limitations and operational constraints became increasingly apparent.
What the Client Believed Was Wrong
The existing platform was becoming increasingly difficult to use as the foundation for AM Ozoli’s actual eCommerce operation. Website speed/performance was one important issue, but the larger challenge was supporting the company’s complex B2B/B2C catalogue, Baltic markets, product imports, delivery logic and internal ordering processes.
What Had Already Been Tried
WD Market had already been maintaining and improving the existing WordPress website. This gave the team direct knowledge of the platform and AM Ozoli’s operational requirements before the larger redevelopment was undertaken.
Why It Needed Attention
The limitations of the existing website had become increasingly clear, while the LIAA digitalization programme created an opportunity to invest in a substantially more advanced eCommerce platform. The objective was not simply a visual redesign but a stronger technical and operational eCommerce environment.
Risk of Doing Nothing
AM Ozoli would remain dependent on a platform with growing performance, technical and operational limitations. As eCommerce supports not only customers but also catalogue management, supplier ordering, delivery planning and internal employee workflows, these limitations would increasingly affect the wider operation rather than just the storefront.
Constraints That Shaped the Solution
This is not a simple B2C store. The platform needs to accommodate professional and retail customers, four languages, Baltic delivery, complex horticultural products, invoice payments, product imports, delivery-week variations and internal supplier/order workflows. Reliability is particularly important because technical issues can directly disrupt employee workflows and business operations.
What Success Needed to Mean
A platform that works reliably in everyday business operations, not simply one that looks modern. AM Ozoli values stability, fast support and practical solutions because the website affects customer orders, catalogue imports, supplier ordering, product management, employee workflows and delivery planning.
Our Approach
-
What the Evidence Showed
The most important finding was that AM Ozoli’s eCommerce platform needed to support internal operations as well as customer-facing eCommerce. Product imports, supplier article lists, mass ordering, delivery weeks and Excel workflows are not peripheral admin features—they are business-critical processes. The value of the platform therefore needs to be evaluated through operational reliability and efficiency as well as customer experience.
-
What We Prioritized First
Understanding and stabilizing the existing environment first. By supporting the old website before rebuilding it, WD Market gained knowledge of AM Ozoli’s catalogue, workflows and technical requirements. During the redevelopment, the priority then became creating infrastructure that matched the actual business—including B2B, B2C, imports, delivery weeks and Baltic operations—rather than simply producing a new design.
-
How We Delivered It
WD Market developed a new WordPress + WooCommerce platform supporting four languages and B2B . The scope covered the complete eCommerce journey, Baltic delivery, invoice payments, product filtering, Excel product imports, plant delivery-week variations, security, analytics, caching and performance optimization. Post-launch, WD Market continued adapting the system around real operational requirements.
-
How the Engagement Evolved
The relationship expanded substantially as WD Market learned how deeply eCommerce was connected to AM Ozoli’s internal operations. After launch, real-world usage exposed requirements around mass-order logic, supplier article lists, product imports, delivery-week variations, Excel workflows and Cloudflare/security configuration. WD Market continued adapting the platform around this evidence instead of treating publication as the end of the project.
The People Behind The Work
WD Market project management, UX/UI, WooCommerce development, frontend/backend development, B2B functionality, custom operational development, QA/testing.
Strategic Decisions
-
Recommendation
WD Market initially recommended maintaining and improving the existing website through technical support and targeted enhancements, rather than proceeding immediately with a full rebuild. A larger redevelopment was recommended only after the platform’s limitations became evident and a clear business case for the investment was established.
-
What We Deliberately Did Not Recommend
The redevelopment was approached as a strategic investment focused on addressing AM Ozoli’s operational requirements rather than purely visual improvements or a standard template replacement. Any future recommendations involving CRO, SEO, GEO, analytics or automation should be evaluated against the company’s business objectives, identified needs and potential commercial value.
-
Rebuild / Redesign / Spend Decision
WD Market first maintained and improved the existing platform. Once performance and operational limitations became clear, a larger redevelopment became justified.
Results We Delivered
-
Measured Results
Successful transformation from a limited existing WordPress environment into a substantially more advanced Baltic B2B + B2C eCommerce and operational platform. The solution now supports four languages, B2B functionality, product imports, plant delivery weeks, Baltic delivery and custom supplier/ordering workflows, with continued post-launch development based on actual employee usage.
-
Evidence and Metrics
The engagement progressed from existing website support → major LIAA-funded eCommerce redevelopment → post-launch custom development → ongoing maintenance relationship. The resulting platform now supports B2B/B2C commerce, four languages, Baltic markets, product imports, delivery-week variations, Baltic delivery and custom operational workflows.
-
What the Client Gained Beyond the Metric
AM Ozoli gained more than a new storefront. The business now has an eCommerce platform supporting customer sales + catalogue administration + supplier processes + product imports + delivery planning + internal employee workflows. WD Market has also accumulated detailed knowledge of these custom processes, creating continuity when operational issues or new requirements arise.
